Too many companies subcontract the creation of a Web site because someone told them they should be on the Internet. And what if the important thing was not the conclusion, but the act of asking Why an Internet presence?   The Internet is often confused with the World Wide Web, and an Internet presence is confused with a Web presence. Having an Internet presence is not only a question of having launched a Web site where people can find information that you have chosen to publish or plug in to your database. Often the process of acquiring information with this Internet presence is forgotten or underestimated.
